Mental Health Evaluations
Mental Health Evaluations are not therapy. The mental health evaluation consists of just one session (unless otherwise specified and agreed upon between you and I, Marriage Family Therapist, Angelica Thompson, LMFT #102394) that can range from an hour to 4 hours depending on what the evaluation is for. The fee of your evaluation is a flat rate fee and depends on the evaluation being conducted. This fee will be collected from you in the form of either exact cash or credit after the signing of informed consent before the evaluation is set to begin.
U-Visas: $425, 1-2 hour appointment
Asylum: $480, 2-3 hour appointment
VAWA: $500, 2-3 hour appointment
Hardships: $600 2-4 hour appointment
Expedited (Faster turn around): Additional $100
Testimony: Additional $100
No show fee/Same day cancelation fee: $100 (if you make an appointment and do not cancel within 24 hours a no show fee will be charged)
Interpreters: I do not provide interpreters. I prefer that a professional interpreter is obtained either by client or lawyer.
Why are Family and Friends Not Recommended as Interpreters? • They can make serious mistakes • May have their own agenda • They may hold information from patient due to embarrassment, protection, emotional involvement • May cause guilt or trauma if they make a mistake • May create liability issues
*Children are not allowed to attend the session unless of course they are the actual client. There is no place for the children to stay while the adult is in session as well as there is no one to watch over them. So please do not bring children to your appointment. If children are brought, your appointment may be cancelled and you will be charged the No show fee*
